Two-Factor Authentication (TOTP)

Securing your LaunchVerse account is paramount, especially if you possess the Owner role for your team and have access to production infrastructure and billing.

LaunchVerse supports Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) for two-factor authentication.

Enabling 2FA

1. Click on your profile avatar in the bottom left of the Dashboard and navigate to Profile Settings.
2. Select the Security tab.
3. Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
4. A QR code will be generated. Scan this code with your preferred authenticator app (e.g., Authy, Google Authenticator, 1Password).
5. Enter the 6-digit code generated by your app to verify the setup.

Recovery Codes

Upon successfully enabling TOTP, LaunchVerse will generate a set of Recovery Codes.

> [!CAUTION]

> You must download and store these recovery codes in a secure location (like a password manager). If you lose access to your authenticator app, these codes are the only way to regain access to your account. LaunchVerse support cannot bypass 2FA for you.

Enforcing 2FA for Teams

If you are a Team Owner on an Enterprise or Pro plan, you can mandate 2FA across your entire organization.

1. Navigate to Team Settings > Security.
2. Toggle Require Two-Factor Authentication.
3. Any team member without 2FA enabled will be instantly logged out and forced to set it up upon their next login attempt before they can access team resources.
